Roberto Giacomucci

Roberto Giacomucci

For architect Roberto Giacomucci, design is a passion acquired by chance, a lifestyle that pulses every minute of the day.

Roberto Giacomucci

He exploits the know-how gained as a student to manage spaces, techniques and materials. For this “artisan of design” it is essential to know every aspect of the material to be moulded, to observe its transformation step by step. In this way, he forms a unique relationship with the object, endowing it with new significance while respecting the demands of the materials that compose it.

He is an inspired, ironic, but practical designer, not a visionary with unfeasible ideas. He believes in local talent and in gifted young people, many of whom were his students at the School of Architecture in Ascoli. Art Director of companies at which he loves to enhance mood, he applies strategic/communicative skills to promote the widespread and “democratic” diffusion of designs.

Over the years he has received numerous awards, including the Good Design award in the Furniture category for Piega-Kubedesign (2011) and for Ninfea-F.lli Guzzini (2009), and the iF Award for Ball Shake-Magppie (2009). He has been selected several times for the ADI INDEX: in 2003 for Ciotola Snack-Robex, in 2006 for Cocoon-Shiro, in 2012 for MaracaS-Caffè River and in 2013 for Cora and Zoe-Emporium. Cora and Zoe also received the Mention of honour at the Compasso d'Oro ADI XXlll edition.
